Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when my files have different sample rates?

The merger automatically resamples every clip to a common sample rate (the highest of your files, capped where the output codec requires it), so the merged track plays back at one consistent quality.

Can I mix mono and stereo files?

Yes. Files are normalised to a common channel layout, using stereo when any clip is stereo, so nothing is played at the wrong speed or from the wrong channel.

Is there a limit on how many files I can merge?

The merger accepts up to 24 files. Merging is memory-intensive, so very long recordings may require a computer with more RAM. The browser warns you if a file is unusually large.
