Important limitations about the audio tools and their outputs.
Aback Audio provides free, browser-native audio utilities on an "as is" basis. This disclaimer sets out the limits of our responsibility and guidance for safe use.
Process copies, verify output
Because tools run in browser memory, keep backups of your original files and verify important output before use. We are not responsible for lost or altered files.
1. General information only
Content on this site, including guides, FAQs, and technical descriptions, is provided for general information and does not constitute professional audio, legal, or technical advice for your specific situation.
2. "As-is" software
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we work hard to ensure correctness, we do not warrant that every file will process perfectly in every browser, or that output will meet your requirements.
- Lossy outputs (MP3, OGG) remove audio information by design.
- Very large files may exceed device memory and fail gracefully.
- Browser codec support varies. A format that works in Chrome may not decode in Safari.
3. Your responsibility for backups
Processing happens in temporary browser memory. Reloading or closing the tab discards in-progress work. Always keep the original file and back up anything important before converting, compressing, cutting, or merging.
4. Ownership & lawful use
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process the audio you use with these tools. We do not audit, store, or control your files, and we cannot assist with rights or licensing questions about your content.
5. Third-party advertising & links
Advertising and external links are provided for convenience. We do not endorse and are not responsible for third-party sites or their practices. Ad networks never receive your audio or file metadata.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aback Audio and its operators shall not be liable for any damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service, including data loss, even if advised of the possibility. Your files never leave your device, and our responsibility is limited to the functioning of the software.

Disclaimer questions
Can I rely on these tools for professional delivery?
Many professionals do, but always verify output files, keep originals, and understand the quality trade-offs of lossy formats before delivering.
What should I do if an output file is wrong?
Keep the original, note your settings and browser, and report the issue via the contact page so we can investigate.
Is Aback Audio affiliated with any audio codec vendors?
No. The site uses open-source codec projects locally (such as LAME and libFLAC) but is an independent product.
